Empty commercial spaces...
...students looking for a place to exhibit their works
Why not using empty shop windows as "art vitrines" ?
Allowing young artists to exhibit their works in empty commercial spaces gives a new impulse to streets and inner city centres.
The goals of the concept are
enabling the students to show their works in a non-institutional way
democratising the understanding of art as these works are visible 24/7
revitalising some of the streets lacking attention
promoting the (re)discovery of the city with a tour connecting the different locations
promoting the premises to future buyers
The first exhibition took place in 2015 with several locations and a preview in one of the shops. Since then different expositions have taken place and a new committee is now continuing this work.
